Elena headed to the Dunes on Tuesday. On their drive she got to eat lunch at Culver's. She ate a cheeseburger. After lunch she went to Michigan City outlet malls for some shopping. She really enjoyed her shopping at the outlets. Once up at the Dunes they set up there tents and went on a hike. While on the hike all the kids wanted to play football( soccer) while wearing flip flops. They all had a blast.
Elena didn't enjoy camping. She woke up wet from the rain. She said the boys talked all night and kept the girls up. While up there she got to go to Rhonda's sister house for a cookout. She really enjoyed the hotdog and hamburger. They also got to roast s'mores and tell camp fire stories.
She got back to Lafayette around 12:40. She was all smiles to see us. She gave Olivia a big hug. She was ready to go home and shower. Little did she know that we were heading to the creek for the day. Boy was that new for her. She meet alot of our friends. She also got to watch Kyle jump from a cliff into the water below.
After the creek we all headed home for showers. We decided to take her to Scotties for dinner. She asked lots of questions about the menu. We love when she asks lots of questions. We then took her to downtown Lafayette to listen to the music. She got to use the port o pot (bathroom). This was so funny to see. We ran into a few of the other exchange students. We decided to stay and watch the fire works. I think we have had a very full day. Elena will sleep well tonight. Many more pics to come in the next few days.
