All about Elena

I probably should of wrote this sooner but I want to get to know Elena better.

Elena is 17 yrs old and from Santander, Spain. This is her second time as an exchange student. Last summer she was an exchange student for 15 days in Normandy, France. This is Elena second time in the US. She came with her family a few years ago to New York. Elena will be a senior this yr. She plans on going to University when she done with High School. She is unsure what she wants to study.

Elena is the youngest of 3 children. She has two bothers, Nicolas and Alberto. Nicolas is 30 and married to Nuria and they have a little girl named Sara (21 mos). Alberto is 25 and still lives at home. He just finished his degree. Alberto has a girlfriend her name is Lucia. Elena lives with both her parents, Pilar and Alberto.

She likes to play volleyball, swim, hang out with friends, and shop. Elena has a pool in her back yard. My kids really like her pool . During the summer she likes to sun bath and watch T.V.

A few things that are different here for her.

Breakfast is small
Large lunch around 2-2:30
Dinner is small around 9

In Spain they do not have a lunch period at school. School starts at 8:30-2:30. All the kids go home for there big meal.

Elena has been eating fried food. In Spain they don't fry things. Our homes are closer together, we also know our neighbors. We also fly a lot of US flags. She was amazed at all the different religions we have. ( we will post a religion post in the days to come)
